Manufacturers in critical industries such as defense, oil and power generation, agriculture, and many more are depending on Hartwig for their machine tool needs. Now more than ever, it’s our job to keep these vital businesses running as smoothly as possible so our infrastructure can remain intact.

Because of this role, Hartwig has been deemed an essential business according to state and federal government guidelines…and we will remain open to serve our customers through this crisis and beyond.

To keep our employees safe and healthy, Hartwig has implemented guidelines that meet or exceed the restrictions set by each state we serve regarding social distancing, work-at-home, or shelter-in-place orders. We will continue to follow these guidelines as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our team members is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor this situation on every level of our operations.

Finally, we want to say thank you to all of our team members at Hartwig who have displayed incredible commitment and resilience through this situation. We will continue to provide updates on our response to COVID-19 as the situation changes.



With COVID-19 continuing to cause disruption in our world, we are making necessary adjustments to ensure that we can do our part so that you can keep your operations up and running smoothly.

Our team at Hartwig has created a COVID-19 plan to address the needs of our customers while keeping our employees safe from the spread of the virus. Here are the measures we have put in place to mitigate risk while continuing to deliver on our promise of operational excellence:

  • Encouraging our teams to ensure optimal hygiene and be aware of social distancing
  • Educating our team members on symptoms to watch out for and requiring employees to stay home if they are showing signs of any illness
  • Placing a temporary moratorium on all non-essential travel and eliminating travel to high-risk areas
  • Ensuring Parts, Engineering, and Service staff remain available to meet your needs
  • Managing inventory levels to ensure we can provide you with the equipment, parts and support you need
