I anticipated adding more machines and upon hiring my first employee I saw the potential for growth. In 1992, Clearwater Engineering moved to a 3,000-sq. ft. building. After moving into the new building we were fortunate enough to see continued growth in the business. More CNC equipment was added and in 1997 we moved into our present facility of 10,000-sq. ft.
We now have (3) Okuma Horizontal Machining Centers, (3) Okuma Vertical Machining Centers, (1) Okuma Lathe, (1) SNK 5-Axis Vertical and (2) Tree Vertical Machining Centers. All of these machines were purchased from Hartwig, Inc.
Hartwig is very committed to partnering up with the customer and contributing the support that is necessary to successful growth. All of the people at Hartwig have been dedicated to helping me achieve the success that I dreamed of. Hartwig is one supplier that we have found that shares the same goals as Clearwater Engineering.
In the last year we have added CATIA High End CAD/CAM. We are D1-9000 approved and are ISO-AS9100 compliant. We are also participating in the Malcom Baldridge National Quality Program. Our present management staff has set the future sights of Clearwater Engineering even higher.
