Advanced Programming with Advanced One Touch for Lathes will provide knowledge of the advanced features of Okuma’s Advanced One Touch conversational lathe programming system.
Advanced One Touch, Okuma’s conversational programming language, allows programs to be created on the Okuma OSP P200 or P300 control or on a remote computer.
This course involves a careful examination of programming an Okuma multi-function turning center with OSP control using Advanced One Touch programming software. Emphasis is on the development of programming skills for parts with multiple features to be machined on an Okuma multi-function lathe part transfer, sub spindle, M function (live tools) and Y-axis programming.
Topics Covered Include:
- Use of the material database
- Adjusting cutting parameters
- Creating a workpiece model or “blank”
- Use of sub spindle
- Part transfer
- M function (Live Tools)
- Use of Y-axis
- Part processing
- Testing the process
- Generating part programs
Completed the Basic/Introduction to Advanced One Tough Programming for Lathes class or equivalent experience.
